The weekend of productivity continues! Over two days, we spent several hours cleaning up the property for our future home. While cleaning up eight years of trash, I thought to myself, “Always pick up trash, because one day, it could end up on a vacant lot you own.” I’m seriously considering stuffing a bag into my coat pocket daily, in case I pass some trash in much need of removal, you know, just anywhere I’m at.
I mowed, too. Let me tell you how much I love to mow grass! On the plus side, it took about eight minutes to mow, which is a tremendous improvement over the hour and a half I spend now at the big house.
Throughout the weekend of cleanup at the property, we met a LOT of neighbors. Everyone was so excited that the vacant lot is finally getting some use. One neighbor was so happy that she hugged me. Wow! We’re feeling the love already.
From what the neighbors said, the house that was on the lot was torn down eight years ago and left untouched since.
For those who are keeping score at home, there are twelve enormous bags of trash in the photo.
