We’ve come to the end of the road when it comes to side hustling since the last of our side hustle projects has launched: Darwin Outdoors.
When we were camping in our teardrop camper two years ago, we discovered a problem with our set up and the set up of those tent campers around us.
Unless we had a truck and a trailer, we couldn’t bring both kayaks and bikes to the state park campgrounds we frequent.
Garrett devised plans for his own inexpensive, DIY camper trailer that could allow anyone with a car the ability to haul two kayaks, two bikes, and a camper with a queen-sized mattress.
With this design, we’re able to carry two mountain bikes and two kayaks. Plus, we can sleep indoors in a tent on a foam mattress!
After debating whether or not we could go through the effort of trying to license such a design or arrange for the manufacture of this DIY camper, we decided to make the plans free and open for to anyone who can use, for personal use, build their own variation of the camper.
